THE OWNERS
Blackwood Drilling is owned and operated by Robert Tassone and Adolfo Chiera - both long-time locals with a deep understanding of the South West and its conditions.
The business began when Robert and Adolfo set out to find water on their own rural properties. After spending time and money engaging other drillers with little success, they decided to give it a go themselves. With an old Mitsubishi truck and a lot of trial and error, they got the result they were after. Word spread, and before long they were helping others do the same.
What started as a hands-on, homegrown solution has grown steadily into a respected local business, backed by over a decade of experience and hundreds of bores completed across the region. Over the years, they’ve continued to invest in better equipment, optimised processes, and practical knowledge - building the business the same way they approach every job; one step at a time, the right way.
They remain actively involved in every project, bringing personal service, honest advice, and a strong work ethic to every site. Known for their honesty and transparency, Robert and Adolfo prioritise clear communication and doing what’s right for the client - every step of the way.
